Molly Mae (Molly Mae Aulén) is a Helsinki-born, Berlin-based artist, singer-songwriter, and producer whose music blends raw emotion, feminine energy, and smooth electronic textures with intimate, diary-like storytelling. Raised in a Swedish-speaking family in Finland, she grew up moving between languages and identities — an experience that quietly broadened her perspective and colors the way she writes, phrases, and expresses herself. For Molly, music has always been a space to process emotion. When feelings become overwhelming, she turns to writing, singing, and producing as a way to translate chaos into something beautiful and honest — softness sharpened into strength, vulnerability turned into power. In 2020, she graduated with a degree in Vocals & Performance from BIMM Berlin. Around the same time, she began teaching herself how to record and produce from her bedroom, crafting early demos that evolved into her signature sound — emotional, vocal-driven, and anchored by her instinct for memorable, catchy melodies. She released her debut EP bittersweet in 2024, followed by her single “Made For U,” and standout collaborations including “Crowded room” with DJSM (700k+ streams) and “DJ wipe my tears” with SP3CTRUM (2M+ streams). Her releases with have landed on major Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds Nordics, Fresh Finds GSA, New Music Friday Finland, New Music Friday Iceland, and Dance Brandneu. From the records spinning in her childhood home — artists like Queen, ABBA, Cher, and Stevie Wonder among many others — to the CDs she wore out by Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, and Shakira, music was always the center of Molly’s world. As a kid, she began teaching herself to accompany her voice on a small keyboard, slowly writing her first songs and using music to make sense of what she was feeling. Over time, that instinct turned into her craft — her music evolving as a reflection of her life, a mirror of whatever she’s perceiving in the moment. Her songs now live between heartbreak and empowerment: for crying in the bathroom, dancing in the mirror, and rebuilding yourself in real time.
